Toon Boom Animation has released v5.5 of its storyboarding software that offers camera controls, 3D models import and collaboration tools. New features include:
- Drawing tools can snap to new Guides and Vanishing points
- Flip Selected Scenes – storyboard revisions are easier with the new Flip Selected Scenes command that lets you automatically mirror scene artwork and cameras without leaving Storyboard Pro
- Generate Auto-Matte – characters are often filled (shaded) to hide what is behind them when layering on backgrounds. The new Generate Auto-Matte tool speeds up this process by generating a matte for multiple drawings with one click.
- Radial and directional blurs – storyboard artists and editors often use blurs to convey action and movement
- Timeline Markers – can be placed on the timeline to set the story pace and time actions
- Round tripping with AAF Interchange Format Support
- Improved sound editing
- Retina display support
