Wonder Unit has released a new open source application for creating storyboards. Storyboarder includes several features to simplify the process of visualising storyboards, including: a streamlined interface, compatibility with Wacom tablets, the ability to automatically import hand drawn boards from scans or photos, a shot generator based on key words, the ability to quickly open a sketch in Photoshop, tools to export animatics to Premiere, Avid, Final Cut, PDF and GIF, etc. Storyboarder is compatible with Windows OSX and Linux. Good story, however the first link appears to be an email harvesting address. I submitted two email address to them for a link and received nothing. Finally went to github and take my chances with the downloads there.
Nah. The download button/link is fine for me. If you’re worried about email harvesting just use a free alias email address. I got the free app.DMG file no problem.
I also emailed Charles to send me anything he wants in an email, I think they sound like a great bunch of idealistic mercenaries.
It is quite a nice bit of software, I was trying to use it on job but the linking to photoshop wasn’t working that well but its worth keep in an eye on.
