Ehm… and how is this different then batch resizing the textures outside max and then just pressing refresh in asset browser….?
As I understand it, this plugin is non destructive so it will not permanently affect the original textures. New downsized textures are created in a separate folder and materials are re-pathed.
Thanks… well but that still seems quite meaningles… You could do it yourself just as quick, just copy the texture folder and rename the copy to “*_backup”… Done and done 🙂
I dont understand these needless scripts, but still, for example, no plugin or script to rename the bitmap (textures) in 3ds max (and automaticaly also in windows, and link the correct ones)… Now THAT would be usefull… i have been waiting for it for years and still nothing, LOL…
Just a note that it will reset some UI customization beyond what is says in the post install pop up warning. Make sure you have a UI backup before you try it out.
