TyFlow cloth slicing and tearing teaser

TyFlow cloth slicing and tearing teaser

Tyson Ibele has released another teaser for his upcoming TyFlow particle simulation tool for 3DS Max, this time demonstrating cloth slicing and tearing. According to Tyson; “tyFlow’s cloth solver has had dynamic mesh tearing for a while…but now it also features mesh slicing. This allows you to use tySlicer helpers to art direct cloth slicing in a predictable manner. Simply animate the slicers slashing through your tyCloth mesh and the new algorithms will do the rest of the work. No need to waste time painstakingly preparing tearing seams ahead of time…everything happens procedurally as the simulation progresses. Here’s an example of both slicing and tearing at work; slices are manually cut at first, and then the remaining cloth is procedurally torn apart based on tyCloth material weakness parameters”.

TyFlow is going to be expensive, that is for sure. I only hope there will be an option to buy perpetual license.
