Tyflow granular solver demo

Tyson Ibele has posted a new demo of Tyflow, a replacement for PFlow in 3DS Max currently in development. The latest video shows TyFlow’s granular solver with fast OpenCL GPU acceleration that, accordingย to Tyson, can handle a huge number of particles; The new solver is “fully integrated into tyFlow’s global constraint solver, so granular particles can interact with cloth, ropes, softbodies, etc. tyFlow’s simple interface makes it easy to design complex simulations like this without much hassle, while still giving users tons of control over the behaviour of each particle.” See this and many more video demos of Tyflow on Instagram.

Wow, this has progressed nicely. I got a good laugh from the crowd sims. And the worms, sweet. I’d like to see a video of what setting up the nodes are like. A little demo of the work flow to create some of these tests.

I know this Image. Very easy to fake with Photoshop ๐Ÿ˜‰
I hope this tool exist, but when i watch all those examples on Insta an read the descriptions it is too nice to be true.

To be clear, I don’t think it’s fake. All I want is a live workflow demonstration ๐Ÿ™‚ it would be nice to see how fast it works with the max viewport. I don’t think that Tyson is the one who wants to troll the Max community.

You’re obviously new to the max community. Anyone that has been around knows what Tyson is capable of.

I was joking on the first few videos, but I now have very real concerns as to whether or not this is real or a hoax done in Houdini. Would be good to see some workflow videos.

Well, there are definitely screenshots of the flow out there, check the stack facebook group for example, I think Changsoo Eun posed them.
Looked simple and beatiful. But I get it, the hype is really terrifying…;)

MAKE already has been using for their production for years.
So.. I’m sure this is real.

Also, there are many other tools which can do these kinds of stuff other than Houdini.

Sure, Tyson Ibele ruins his perfectly fine reputation by making a fake tool and posting fake images for months. Totally makes sense. Congrats for spotting it.
1) Make fake images
2) …?
3) Profit.
