Unfold3D updated and renamed RizomUV
Rizom-Lab has announced that Unfold3d, the popular suite of tools for UV mapping, is now called RizomUV. The new name also marks a new release with several new features including an overhauled interface, the ability to view and edit texel density, the ability to make selections based on properties of the model, several automatic modes that find seams unfold and pack, advanced packing algorithms, UDIM support and more. A new C++ library is also available for users that want to integrate the tools into software and pipelines.
The software remains available in two flavours. Virtual Spaces has features designed for artists working in games, VR, VFX, animation, photogrammetry, or stills. Real Spaces, has all the features of the Virtual Spaces version but adds tools for users who work with CAD data. Indie licenses are available for users who earn less than 100 000€/y, and pro licenses are required for those who exceed this threshold. Find out more on the Rizom-Lab website.
