Hot on the heels of the 3DS Max version, Chaos Group has announced the release of V-Ray 3.6 for Maya. This version introduces hybrid rendering mode to enable artists to take advantage of their GPU and CPU hardware simultaneously; support for NVidia NVlink to allow compatible graphics cards to share GPU memory; a full light select render element including GI, reflections and refractions to make light-mixing possible in post; support for Cryptomatte, an open source technology developed by PsyOp for automatically generating ID mattes with support for motion blur, transparency, and depth of field; Viewport 2.0 improvement for V-Ray Sky and environment reflections; improvements to the VFB and support for MDL materials. Visit Chaos Group’s website to get the full details on this latest release.

mash instances in Ipr are supported?
Don’t know about Mash instances but in the changelog it says :
Initial support for Instancer in IPR
https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/VRAY3MAYA/3.60.01
Cool for the instances in Ipr. Will check it !
Does it also include the 10% render slowdown found in the 3dsmax version ?
It does include the full light selects, yes. In order to keep the V-Ray 3.x SDK compatible, we had to implement them in a not-so-optimal way. However we’ve already gotten those 10% back and more for the next release.
Best regards,
