VirtuCamera iOS app for capturing camera animations now supports Blender
VirtuCamera is an iOS app that allows the user to create camera animations like they would with a real camera. Plugins were formerly only available for Maya, but the developer have announced a plugin is now also available for Blender.
Currently available for Apple devices, the Virtucamera app captures camera motions and connects them over Wi-Fi to 3D software which records the movement as keyframes.
Features include the ability to change cameras at any time, set and record focal length with a slider, scale camera movements to travel longer distances, lock camera translation for any axis and more. To visualise what’s being recorded, the 3d app’s viewport is streamed live with frame rates of up to 60fps.
The app costs $4.99. Find out more on the VirtuCamera website and you can read more about how a Gremlins fan film was made with the help of VirtuCamera in an article by Ian Failes on Cartoon Brew.
hace años vi uno parecido a este en youtube

It’s now available, and I was quite excited for it until I saw it’s subscription only! $10.99 a month, or $89.99 if you subscribe for a year
it’s not $10.99 / $89.99, it’s $6.99 / $59.99 USD. I don’t think it’s expensive, it’s less than the price of a pizza for a month of an app that can save you hours of work. If you are using it as a professional, $6.99 is a ridiculously low price. Of course if you want it just to play with it, then sure, it’s expensive.
Where do you see the subscription cost?
I only see the cost of the app, 4.99$, but I can’t find the subscription information.
2 years old comment with obsolete information…
Isn’t there the same thing as opensource?

Yes, since the past the plugins was opensource… but the mobile app is not…
ah, yes of course, I wasn’t thinking of that, thanks!
