At SIGGRAPH 2018 Zap Andersson gave a talk about OSL that sadly was not recorded at the time. Thankfully, due to several questions and requests following the presentation, Zap has re-recorded and expanded on his talk (and removed a couple of NDA topics) so that we can all learn a little more about Open Shader Language, recently implemented in 3DS Max. Watch it on YouTube.
Nice one, thanks very much Zap!
Very good talk, and magnificient OSL implementation! There is even an easteregg from a new feature coming, right on the youtube preview splash!
related to OSL, or something else?
Displacement in viewport, I guess
Real-time rendering in viewport actually ?… Was confused, seeing what they termed Arnold in viewport, especially since it isn’t active shade… Nice one, Autodesk!
