Ziva VFX 1.4 released
Ziva Dynamics has announced the latest release of Ziva VFX, its Maya plug-in with an offline FEM anatomy simulator for the physical simulation of anatomical elements like muscles and skin. New features in Version 1.4 includes the ability to use external forces to affect the simulation. For example, it is possible to simulate the way that wind or rain interacts with a characters skin and tissue.
Also new in this release are Pressure and Surface Tension properties that can be to “fit” fat tissues around muscles as well as a Muscle Growth feature that can enhance the muscle definition of a character or an individual body part without needing to manually remodel the geometry. In a similar vein, a Rest Scale for Tissue feature has also been added, that enables the user to shrink or grow a tissue object equally in all directions.
The UI has also been improved with the inclusion of a Ziva Scene Panel that allows the user to visualize their work in a tree-like structure that shows all the connections and relationships between an asset’s objects, functions and layers.
