Walt Disney unfreezes himself and walks around the school he envisioned but never got to see, in this opening sequence created by artists from California-based school CalArts. The sequence was produced for this year's Character Animation Producers' Show, a juried showcase of student films that takes place in Los Angeles and draws industry professionals and animation fans to view works from CalArts students. Paris-based Capsule Studio has posted online its first projects, including a trailer for Deck13's The Surge video game and a spot for McDonald's. Both were created with 3DS Max and V-Ray.

3Dflow has released a new version of its image-based modeling software, along with a free limited version that can be used to view projects created with other versions of Zephyr, as well as to start learning photogrammetry (it can process up to 50 photos).
