A new RenderMan integration plugin surfaces, this time for 3DS Max. Developed by technical director Mahmoud Hisham this non-official plugin has already 3000+ lines of code and is advancing fast. Watch a preview video on Vimeo and find out more on Mahmoud Hisham’s website.
Lets hope it’s not 10 years to late. 🙂
Looks cool though.
This is great. Hopefully both Pixar or Autodesk will get directly involved to move this along more quickly.
Yeah. I hope it can work well with hair and volumetrics like FumeFX
Renderman? 15 years too late, i think. Pixar behaved very arrogant, unaccessible and pricey for a long time. Nobody wants to deal with all that technical stuff just for rendering an image anymore.
Not many people work even with mental ray anymore, who failed of similar reasons.
