3DF Zephyr 5.0 released
3D Flow has released an update to its photogrammetry software 3DF Zephyr. Highlights of version 5.0 include significant speed improvements and quality of the reconstruction, a new photoconsistency filter that provides more realistic sharp edges, a new out of core algorithm to allow for huge datasets at a much lower memory footprint, and an update to the texture algorithm which now produces sharper textures.
Users now have the option to use WIC for faster image loading and better raw file format support (you must install the WIC raw plugin separately). Other changes include a new toolbar to improve productivity, spline support in drawing elements, updated native laser scanner support plugins, and more.
Also announced is 3DF Scarlet a new standalone application for laser scan registration that comes bundled with 3DF Zephyr 5.0. It has been designed to handle much bigger datasets than 3DF Zephyr for laser scan registration and has dedicated tools as well as a new automated registration feature. This release also sees 3DF Zephyr Pro and 3DF Zephyr Aerial unified into a single application.
New licensing options are now available, perpetual licensing (€3900) remains available, and a new monthly rental option has been added for €250 per month. 3DG Zephyr Lite costs 149.00 for a perpetual license. Find out more on the 3D Flow blog.
