3Disciple Issue 3 released including StackUp, a new script for 3ds Max
3Disciple, the Archviz magazine by Sini Software and 3ds London’s Nigel Hunt, has just published its third issue. Contents include showcases of 25 talented artists, an 18-page feature on diversity in the archviz industry, plus a detailed 6 part narrative-based tutorial called Stacker World that demonstrates how to use a new Maxscript called StackUp designed to randomly place objects on top of one another along a spline. It can be used to create buildings with a randomised number of floors and other similar objects. The tutorial also covers using several other tools including several Sini Software plugins, V-Ray, and Chaos Vantage.
To get the latest issue, visit the 3Disciple website. Digital editions cost £4.99 while the print version costs £14.99 and includes the scene files and scripts for the Stacker World tutorial. You can also buy the Stacker World resources separately for £24.99.
Thanks CGPress! The trailer above was made by me in 24 hours last week, rendered using Chaos Vantage, live linked to 3ds Max/V-Ray 5 on one PC. The trees in Loopton are Forest Pack.
