Open Source AutoRemesher released

Developer of Dust3D Jeremy Hu announced a new standalone open source remeshing tool called AutoRemesher. The new tool is a combines two existing remeshing approaches called the Constrained Mixed-Integer Solver and libQEx quad extraction. According to the developer the motivation for the app is because “there isn’t an integrated tool [for these two technologies] that can be downloaded directly and work out of the box for remeshing”

Looks promising, its nice another autoretopo software on the open source bandwagon, but the rear root and some of the top branches of the tree with autoremesher, looks worse than instant meshes. The problem I see on almost all the autoretopology tools, is that at some point it looses its path and twist (rotate) its axis on tube like geometry. If this tool could add a guide feature, something more like auto detect tube like geometry and add a guide at is center axis, but not like instant mesh guides that is horrible to edit.
There are some place Instant Meshes makes a better job as I see in the example.
