Looking to upgrade your hardware? Look no further. Retro Games will soon be releasing the A1200 computer, which offers a recreation of the experience of using an Amiga computer. The Amiga was a computer produced and released by Commodore back in 1985, based initially on a Motorola 68000 microprocessor.
It gave birth to some of the first 3D graphics applications such as Byte by Byte’s Sculpt 3D, Impulse’s Turbo Silver / Imagine and Aegis Software’s VideoScape 3D / NewTek’s LightWave 3D.
The A1200 comes bundled with a number of video games and includes an Amiga keyboard, classic mouse and game controller, plus HDMI and USB connectivity. It can be pre-ordered from Amazon for $189.99. Watch a video and visit Retro Games for more.
If you prefer a command line user interface you can check out the Commodore 64 Ultimate. It’s made by Commodore and claims to be 99.9% compatible with original software and peripherals of the computer launched back in 1982, including monitors, joysticks, disk drives and cartridges. And adds modern touches like USB, HDMI, Wi-Fi and more RAM. A Turbo Boost mode allows the processor to run at up to 64 times faster.
