HDRI Hub has released two new bundles for architectural visualizations containing 3D humans for business and spa renderings. Each of the bundles contains 8 pre-posed models and you can choose from several 3D formats. Two free models are available for those who want to first check the quality of the 3D models. A new website has been launched dedicated to producing customized fonts for 3D work. The fonts' topology is especially suited for extrusion, beveling, deformation, sculpting and texturing without the usual hassle. Quixel has released v2.0 of its Quixel Suite, which brings a completely revamped and updated NDO Painter, DDO Painter and 3DO Baker with integrated GPU baking. The suite is being offered at a 25% discount for this weekend. More on Quixel's website.

SmoothSkinClusterWeight is a Maya plugin by Brave Rabbit studio that allows to smooth the skin weights of your model fast and efficiently. It is based on Tom Ferstl's SmoothSkin script and adds undo capability and a much faster workflow with hi-res meshes, as well as the ability to keep the number of maximum influences. It also works not only as a brush but can be used with a component selection. This can be very helpful in areas that are inaccessible with a brush or just to work evenly with the help of edge or polygon loop selection. More on Brave Rabbit's website.

Chaos Group has released an update to its renderer for Trimble's modeling software, adding SketchUp 2016 compatibility, improvements to animation, more stable batch rendering, full support for the Skatter extension as well as for ArchVision RPCs. The update is available for free to all V-Ray 2.0 for SketchUp users. More on Chaos Group's website.
