Autodesk announced that they’re developing an open, freely licensable 3D printing platform called Spark. Designed to streamline the 3D printing experience, Spark aims to make it easier to visualize prints and optimize them without trial and error, while also broadening the range of materials that can be used for printing. Autodesk also announced a 3D printer built on Spark that will serve as a reference implementation for the 3D printing platform. Visit Spark’s page and read a message from Autodesk’s Carl Bass for more.
