(Updated) A new video is up with a variation of the previous scene, simulated with a slightly bigger wave force and rendered with a different lighting setup.
Chaos Group’s Ivaylo Katev has posted a video that shows a technique they’re testing for their Phoenix fluids dynamic software for automatic blending of displaced waves from an ocean with simulated ones that can break on an object and produce splash and foam, allowing for simple setup of a seamless interactive ocean. Watch it on Vimeo.

I’m so glad I bought Phoenix few years ago. It became a realy solid piece of simulator and Chaos guys keep developing it without any rental or subscription bull****. Keep up good job.
Yeah, I’m glad I did as well – with Dreamscape dead in the water, and no sign of FumeFX adding liquids, Chaos Group have done a great job.
i like phoenix but alot of features are tied to vray
for anyone using other engines its sadly not that useful.
