I keep looking at Houdini, it’s really a wonderful application.
I’m not sure whether eventually I’ll be able to come up with something good and kind of advanced with this software or not, but it definitely is the 3d app that allows the user to virtually do everything.
Despite I love 3ds Max and it’s my main 3d app now, I can’t say 3ds can cover any type of needs out of the box. Of course they are two different apps, in fact I’ve been able to pick 3ds Max very quickly, can’t say the same for Houdini!
As far as C4D goes, yes it is really slow (one of the reason I switched to 3ds), but MoGraph it’s still undefeated for its simplicity.
Wish Max would have a more powerful motion graphics toolset.
