Connecter 1.6.7 released with Max integration improvements
Design Connected has released a new update for its asset management app Connecter, with some handy improvements for 3DS Max users. Materials exporting has been overhauled making it possible to use either the material editor’s thumbnails for previews or use a shaderball. You can also now export every material from a scene to the asset browser automatically.
This release also improves the ability to add items to the asset browser by allowing the user to convert all the objects from a scene to separate assets inside Connecter complete with previews and texture folders.
Several smaller improvements and fixes are included, plus the standalone app sees some changes including the ability to see contextual information about the current view, a cloud folder option for personal workspaces, the ability to install and manage different beta releases of the Max integration and more.
Connecter is free to use, with a commercial Server edition aimed at teams located in different workplaces available starting at £16 per month.
