New features in Corel’s natural media painting software include:
- Thick Paint – a new engine designed to simulate voluminous media with tools to pile up, push around, carve, scrape and blend paint. Pressure, tilt and rotation can be used with new Bristle Brushes and Palette Knives to help recreate real brushstrokes.
- Texture Synthesis – a new tool to generate a seamlessly tiling texture from a region of a source image.
- Cloning improvements and new selection brushes – several enhancement including the ability to clone from sources with a transparent background.
- 2.5D texture brushes – paint relief detail from a source image with options to affect surface detail and/or local colour
- Random Grain Rotation – the ability to slightly rotate the grain in each individual stroke, creating a more natural and organic look.
