New features in the latest version of Corel’s graphics suite include:
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2017 is available through permanent (€699) and rental (€34.95/month or €239.40/year) licensing. Upgrades from any previous version cost €349. A trial version is available. More on CorelDRAW’s website.
- LiveSketch tool converts free form sketching into precise vector curves on touch-enabled devices
- Enhanced vector previews, nodes and handles allow to edit objects more efficiently
- Custom node shapes help quickly identify smooth, cusp, and symmetrical nodes, allowing you to choose the node shapes that best suit your workflow
- Advanced stylus support and native support for Microsoft Surface – a redesigned UI gives instant access to relevant controls and the ability to quickly choose which stylus properties to leverage
- Enhanced interactive sliders make it easier to work with object fills, transparencies, blends, extrusions, drop shadows and contours
- Microsoft Surface Dial support on Windows 10 for CorelDRAW and Corel Photo-Paint applications
- CorelDRAW: vector-illustration and page-layout application
- Photo-Paint: image-editing application
- Font Manager: font management
- PowerTrace: bitmap-to-vector tracing utility (included in CorelDRAW 2017)
