Corona Renderer 3 for 3DS Max released
Render Legion has announced the release of Corona Render 3 for 3DS Max. This version adds the NVIDIA GPU-based AI Denoiser that will allow users to run a denoiser during Interactive Rendering.
Also in this release is an improved displacement algorithm that gives improved image quality with less memory consumption of up to 50%. Map changes include the ability to randomise by mesh elements in the Corona Multimap and UVWRandomizer
Corona 3 unifies the existing listers into a single interface and paves the way for more in the future. This release will include a single interface for Corona Lights and Scatters, but support for proxies, cameras and more is promised in the future.
There are some changes to image file format support too. The number of file types that the CIE and Standalone can save to has increased and the user is able to specify output colour depth and presence of an alpha channel. The list of formats supported by CoronaBitmap has also grown.
Finally, the new Light Solver has graduated from its experimental status and is ready for production, though it is still not enabled by default. There are also several more UI improvements, workflow tweaks, and bug fixes. Find out more on the Render Legion blog.
