3D generalist and FX artist Carlos Parmentier has posted a video he created for testing a Houdini to 3DS Max pipeline. He exported fluids, foam, boat and sharks as Alembic files to Max. The underwater stones and vegetation were created in Max with ICube’s Multiscatter. IDV’s Speedtree was used for the island’s vegetation and rendering was done with V-Ray 3.0. what is going on with the houdini engine for max though? anyone knows?
Yea, the Houdini Engine for Max was supposed to be out last year. Hopefully it will get here soon.
