Expression Deformer – preview

Martijn van Herk has posted a preview video of his latest plugin for 3DS Max called Expression Deformer. It is currently under development, and set for release later this year. You can check out the preview on Martijn’s Vimeo channel.

Amazing, a must have! Things like such should be integrated natively as they unlock amazing possibilities.

Just the range of possibilities, amazing.

I think a Collision Deformer mod would be only one of those possibilities, hopefully he’ll release a few presets along with the plugin for us Code’o’phobes.

Very exciting stuff, if it works as advertised and is really that simple it could be a big hit.
Might I also suggest implementing the same technology towards controllers, texture maps, and shaders.

@Rotem.. I believe ephere’s LAB is capable of doing those things.

I did give LAB a try, albeit a very short one. To be honest, I had trouble finding my way around the node based interface, I felt it was somewhat of an overkill for someone that’s used to coding.
I also had a few crashes and exceptions so I opted to give it another try a few point releases into the future.
What I like about this tool is how simple it looks.
