Keen Tools has released FaceBuilder, a plugin for Nuke designed to very quickly create and texture a 3D model of a human head based on photographs. This is not a photogrammetry solution, FaceBuilder’s workflow relies on the user aligning anatomical landmarks on a 3D model to photographs, aligning and deforming a base mesh in the process. FaceBuilder is currently available in beta as part of the Keen Tools plugin suite that also includes GeoTracker, their model-based object and camera tracking plugin, as well as PinTool and a beta of ReadRiggedGeo. The suite costs $149 and a 15 day trial is available along with more information from Keen Tools’ website.
