Foundry has announced the release of Flix 7.0, its . Key features include Maya integration for streamlined 2D and 3D workflows, a reimagined Photoshop plugin with enhanced customization, and a new Source File Library for centralized file management.
Enhancements in email notification preferences allow users to filter alerts relevant to specific projects or teams. The Adobe Premiere Adapter has been improved for better editorial workflows, and the update includes full compatibility with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere 2023/24.
Flix 7.0 supports Single Sign On (SSO) for improved security and user management, and introduces a new extensions management system for more flexible updates. The release also features a comprehensive metadata system for enhanced automation and pipeline integration, and a General Remote Client (GRC) API for creating custom integrations.
The update is fully compliant with VFX Reference Platform 2023, ensuring pipeline security and optimization. Flix 7.0 runs natively on macOS 14.x (Sonoma) and is fully integrated with MySQL 8 for database security.
