FStormRender is a new GPU-based unbiased renderer developed by PinkSoft. Features include: tonemapping that works like modern digital cameras, lighting system optimized for processing many light sources, glossy reflection shader, glare effects, optimized QMC sampling and convenient materials and light sources. A 3DS Max integration plugin is available, along with a built-in scene coverter that easily converts scenes from Corona, V-Ray and Octane. A flexible API allows developers to code plugins for other 3D applications. The renderer is currently available for beta testing. More on FStormRender’s website.
Am I somehow wrong to expect, despite all the hard work it surely takes to build an engine, that now that we have SO many options, that maybe the prices will come down? A great renderer was worth a huge amount when there were not twenty of them floating about.
