Arius3D announced the deployment of the company’s first color scanning systems in their Utah and Toronto Service Bureau locations. This proprietary and patented system is based on Arius3D’s core scanning technology, the only technology that simultaneously captures the true color and geometry of an object, with perfect registration, independent of ambient light.
The Arius3D system provides photo-realistic, 3D digital copies of real-world objects using a proprietary laser scanning system. The results are unaffected by ambient light, giving end users color data, without light artifacts, at microscopic resolution. Data captured from 3D color point-clouds contains detailed color information, which can be used for such things as grouping, animation and part separation, all of which are extremely valuable when creating workflows for rapidly building large quantities of digital content. This is simply not available from data obtained with traditional monochrome scanning techniques.
