JangaFX has launched a layoff assistance program for its visual effects tools. The initiative provides free access to the company’s software for artists affected by job losses in the games and film industries.
According to founder Nick Seavert, eligible applicants can receive a license for up to six months. Users are required to create an account and submit an application for review.
The program has already been running (and the company reports that more than 100 artists were supported through the program in the previous year), but is reiterated at a time of ongoing workforce reductions across the games and visual effects sectors.
