Microsoft enters the video game console market with its new Xbox video game system. The new machine is built around an Intel 733MHz processor, an 8GB hard drive and an NVIDIA graphics processing unit that is expected to deliver more than 125 million polygons per second. It includes an Ethernet adapter and according to Gamasutra an additional remote in the $20-30 range will have to be purchased separately in order to use the Xbox to play DVD movies.
