The Moscow-based company, developers of the markerless motion capture system, have released a new version of their Ipi Recorder that can use several computers to record synchronized video from multiple devices. This allows to use multiple Kinect 2 sensors in a Mocap session, as well as PCs with lower hardware requirements for recording. More on Ipi Soft’s website.

subscription only = crap deal for users

No matter what they offer…

They even ignored their own users in their own forum when the started criticism towards their new crazy license model…

Just to let you know i’ll never be a customer as long as rental is the only choice on offer form ipisoft.

adobe rental = no
autodesk rental = no
the foundry indie apps = no

the “no” is based on pricing and the “stop paying = stop working” nature of rental, the only rental scheme that slightly appeals is houdini indie as it does offer a full on feature set of a state of the art 3d app for low price with only small amount of restrictions.
