Red Giant has released an update to its flagship suite of video processing tools. New features include:
The tools work in Premiere Pro (CC), After Effects (CC) and Final Cut Pro X. Some tools work in additional host apps. Magic Bullet Suite 13 is priced at $899, upgrades from previous versions cost $299. All tools work on both Windows and Mac. More on Red Giant Software’s website.
- Magic Bullet Looks 4.0 – brings real time performance (through Adobe Mercury Playback support), new presets, tools and some workflow and UI enhancements.
- Magic Bullet Colorista IV – adds Guided Color Correction, a simple Hollywood-tested, step-by-step process for quickly balancing your shot, as well as the new Colorista Panel, which, according to Red Giant, turns Premiere Pro and After Effects into a professional color grading environment. Also included are RGB Point Curves, Log support and ability to load LUTs into Colorista IV.
- Magic Bullet Denoiser III – rewritten from scratch, v3 brings near real-time performance and much improved quality results.
- Magic Bullet Mojo II – updated to give your footage a cinematic style with a unified complementary color palette. New tools added such as vignette, exposure, temperature and tint.
- Magic Bullet Cosmo II – brings refined results that look more natural. With the help of a new skin sampling tool it helps more easily balance skin tones, reduce wrinkles and remove skin blemishes.
- Magic Bullet Renoiser – new tool that gives your footage a cinematic texture and grain. It includes 16 noise/grain presets based on real film stocks and popular movies, such as 16MM, 8MM, etc. Renoiser supports OpenGL/OpenCL (Adobe Mercury Playback), so it offers real-time performance.
- Magic Bullet Film 1.2- brings OpenGL/OpenCL support, allowing it for real-time playback and rendering.
- Magic Bullet LUT Buddy has been discontinued – both Magic Bullet Looks and Colorista can both load LUTs.

Just a note, they’ve stopped supporting CS6 on this version.
Thank you for the note, Stephen. It’s important information.
We’ve added it to the news item.
You’re welcome, yeah they could have made it clearer.
Shame they’ve not been able to support the CS6 users who don’t feel the need to rent.
