“To no one will We sell, to no one will We deny or delay, right or justice.” London-based Beakus animation studio has created two videos for the British Library, celebrating the 800 years of one of humanity’s most important documents in political science: the predecessor of the modern constitution and the first written document that limited the power of a monarch in Europe, subjecting him to the law. The agreement between the barons of Medieval England and King John took place in June 15, 1215. Watch the videos on Vimeo: Magna Carta: Medieval and Magna Carta: Legacy.
