Clo Virtual Fashion has released an update to its cloth modelling and simulation tool Marvelous Designer. Version 8 adds remeshing to convert MDs tri mesh to quads, the ability to sew patterns in the 3D window, new brush tools for sculpting garments, the ability to extract 2D patterns from a UV map when exporting 3D objects, the ability to automatically create arrangement points and bounding volumes based on Avatar size, and the control the change a garments trim weight.
Marvelous designer is available for rental at $50 a month or $300 per year for personal licenses and $1700 a year for an annual enterprise license. A perpetual license is also available for $490 for personal use or starting at $4000 for enterprise use. Find out more on the Marvelous Designer website.
Bear in mind that the prices listed here are just for PERSONAL use, any studio, big or small, MUST take the other pricing scheme, wich is several orders of magnitude bigger.
