Maya 2019.1 released
Autodesk has released Maya 2019.1 bringing improvements to Render Setup and the Light Editor. In the new version, it is easier to add and disable lights, as well as override light attributes in a render layer. For complex scenes, the Light Editor is also faster.
The recently introduced Cached Playback features gains improvements with the ability to purge the cache directly from the Time Slider and an option to disable the Smooth Mesh previews on animated models to improve performance. The Outliner also gets a performance boost with a new mode for object sets that contain a large number of faces.
A new troubleshooting tool that allows the user to run a selection of scans to locate and clean potential bottlenecks caused by inefficient processes, such as flat animation curves and unused expressions outputs has been added, and there are improvements to the documentation to help users read Profiler which identifies performance slowdowns.
Finally, booleans are improved and will no longer create or modify invalid meshes, and many other bug fixes are included.
