Poor naive dude. Basically, Maya hasn’t received major updates since 2004.
Where is the smooth and fast Alias Maya workflow?
Every year they add small updates with a huge list of bugs.
Look at Max, now AD focused on Max, they started fixing some stupid things like removing the Clown button, updating the UI to hidpi, adding MCG, merging the stupid Design and Standard assemblies together (I swear there was no difference between them). adding Smart Extrude which is a really handy tool for modelers (smart extrusion in a blender sucks), OSL Textures, Serious BugFixes, etc.
Why use Maya if you are not an animator for large studios, I don’t understand at all, better use Max, there is nothing in Maya that Max cannot do or look at C4D/Modo, just zombie software. Or look at blender, a completely illiterate tool, yeah it’s free, but still illiterate.
It’s a shame that there is no Mac version for Max though. Painful Con.
Blender sectarians, don’t rush on me it’s just my opinion.
