You guys are annoying with your Blender all the time………….
You are like the vegans, lobbying your lifestyle so annoyingly that people want to hurt you instead of agreeing with you.

Blender, before 2.8 was such a piece of crap that everything was to be fixed. That’s why they have today so many updates to offer. Blender still has badly designed roots, still has archaic rendering management, still struggles with complex scenes, still has crapy fx, still has uneven worflows… still [why it’s used in a micro minority of good money projects].
Blender is a prime example of badly designed original software that is in the process of being repaired and improved with passion.

Maya is the opposite: when it was still Alias Maya, the software was a masterpiece of its time, with the best design you could find. And it’s from an amazing base design, that Autodesk ruined the evolution of the software and made it a piece of a bug /out-of-date/ inconsistent crap it is today.
Maya is a prime example of great software that has been wasted due to more than a decade of negligence and bad decisions.

I don’t even think these are Blender users. Just trolls who enjoy starting flamewars this website is so prone to, especially under Autodesk related posts. Most of Blender users are on Blender forum having fun using and talking about Blender. Vast majority of them don’t care about AD software or CGpress for that matter 🙂

Just don’t fall for it. You can see he got you. He wrote one sequence and made you write 3 long paragraphs.

They are doing it because they see it works. As soon as you stop replying to those childish posts, and ignore them, they will slowly disappear 🙂

Yes, those are blender users. They are famous for that stupid behavior for years…They do that on every platform, youtube, facebook, small forums, everywhere. Sure not all of them are like that, but many…

That’s right, but at the time when Maya was a „masterpiece of its time“ it was unaffordable. I have an indie license now and am pretty happy with it. I notice, that AD is constantly polishing Mayas workflow. I can’t praise enough the Outliner vertical split mode for example. Makes my Maya days a lot more comfortable.

Yeah I can recall the days of maya being very pricey. Back then I purchased a student version of maya complete. Picked up maya 6 and then 7 when it released. Good days back then 🙂

The number of comments says that 3ds Max has no community anymore. Look at the comments, everybody is interested only in Maya.

I hope you know that this site was 8 year ago a pure 3DS Max site called “max underground”? So most of the old users here, all 3DS Max users 😉

That’s how you like to spend your time? Commenting on a daily basis on CGI websites to say reversed logic stuff to gain some kind of attention?
Is it possible to be lamer?

I’ve used max since days of being named Discreet 3Ds max. As soon as the old development team gotten chewed up and spit out by Autodesk I knew it was time to switch. I do agree with John Martini Max has changed a lot and yes every package has its own issues but bean counters at Autodesk or as most people know them as shareholders are the ones slowing down max;’s development along with their awesome subscription methods just like their new Autodesk credit system so focus on that and not listening to the people using their tool. Unlike Blender Foundation has total freedom, no share holders just a community and their ideas on how to improve blender in the needs of the people who use their tool. Companies like Ubisoft , Epic Games , Gearbox, Amazon Studios just to name a few have already integrated blender in their pipeline in some shape or forum. The future looks bright for blender and it could match other packages in a couple of years with the way development is going. Autodesk give what they think the artist needs were Blender foundation listens to their artist which is a big difference.

Salty scrub that can’t use blender. Lmafo. Like i said keep paying those fees and being broke for something that gets crappy updates while Autodesk milks you for every dime.

yep, can’t use blender, performance sucks. I work in gamedev, have to import, model heavy stuff. And that crap gives me like 0,3 FPS. and fluid 40 fps in max. What a surprise…
