Maya, Mudbox and MotionBuilder 2015 features announced
New features in Maya 2015 include:
- Bifröst Simulation Platform
- XGen Arbitrary Primitive Generator – lets you use instanced geometry to create and groom hair and fur, as well as create foliage and vegetation for environments.
- Geodesic Voxel Binding for skinning
- Support for Pixar’s OpenSubdiv
- New support in Viewport 2.0 for major effects
- New ShaderFX editor to create and preview advanced HLSL, GLSL and CgFX shaders in Viewport 2.0.
