- Combined alignment of terrestrial laser scanner and camera data that allows users to apply to use LiDAR data.
- A new depth maps generation algorithm that promises more detail, less noise, and is able to better reconstruct thin structures.
- The official release of Agisoft Cloud for sharing and one-button click embedding of scanned objects.
- Satellite imagery processing.
- Underwater imagery processing.
- Accelerated processing
- The ability to create Diffuse, normal, occlusion maps
- Mission planning tools for surveying complex sites.

Find out more on the Agisoft website.
Pretty neat new features.
Could be great to know what of those features are Pro only features.
I believe they updated the comparison list on their webpage.

WTF! 3499$ for this software … uh, no thanks
If you think that is expensive, I suggest not looking at the equivalent product, CapturingReality’s pricing. Though it is crazy fast with results.
That’s for the pro version which is aimed more at surveyors etc who charge the big bucks – there’s a standard version which is much cheaper and is fine for most people.
Well.. Reality Capture is 15k$ perpetual license but fast with cuda (but there is also this ppi licensing – “pay per input” or something.).
While meshroom is free but also very slow.
And 3DFlow zephyr pro/aerial is quite same what Metashape pro.
But standard edition is enough for most – because pro version is for laser scanning and 4d and spectral imaging etc. Zephyr has cheaper versions with 500images limit and then 50images limited free version.
I played around with photogrammetry a bit just for fun. It’s pretty incredible what you can get out of a 20 dollar Amazon photo tent and your phone on a tripod.
