New features in Basefount Technology’s crowd simulation software for Maya include:
- Clone Agents to create intelligent instances of actors, allowing users to simulate huge numbers of characters for crowds. In scenes with over 200,000 agents, simulation speed can be up to 20 times faster and render up to 100 times quicker
- Direct Logic Engine that enables a simplified setup, allowing users to skip most of the manual logic creation steps
- Up to 2-3 times faster viewport performance
- Support for Redshift
