Physics Now! for After Effects released
Crunchy Creatives has announced the release of a new 2D physics simulation plugin for After Effects called Physics Now! It promises an easy setup which starts with tagging a layer as either static or dynamic before running the simulation. Vector layers like shapes and text can be simulated without additional work, but if it is necessary a manual collision cage can also be created. These can also be used to simulate compositions, images or other imported files.
For more advanced effects properties like Bounce, Friction and Density can be keyframed. As can world properties like Gravity or Time Scale. These are all manipulated in the usual way on the timeline and items can be added and removed from the simulation using the layers in and out points. Layers will follow any animation until their animation stops at which point the physics properties will take over and inherit the layers final velocity.
Physics Now! is currently on sale for $96 until may 7, after which time the full price is $129. Find out more on Crunchy Creative’s website.
