MGODI – CG jobs look for you

MGODI is an app created by and for the people working inside the CG industry to fulfill the need of companies and freelancers to easily connect with each other based on specific expertise or skill sets. When a company posts a job, artists matching the requirements are notified automatically. The app is being developed by Joep van der Steen and Artur Leão. It's free, lets you upload your portfolio and companies and people can easily post jobs. The app currently runs on IOS-based devices, an Android version is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2014. More on MGODI's website.

Otoy announces next steps in streaming applications to browsers

Thea Render 1.3

Solid Iris has released version 1.3 of Thea Render. New features include: runs both on GPU and CPU simultaneously harvesting all the computer's power, improved physical sky, full instancing support, Micro Roughness offers control over two parameters corresponding to the micro structure of a surface, sampling improvements resulting in faster convergence without losing interactivity, camera z-clipping, SSS and volumetrics, etc. A 3DS Max bridge is available that provides a fully interactive render engine; the Thea for 3DS Max bundle is being offered at a 40% discount until January 31st, 2014. New V-Ray 3.0 beta build
