SuperSplat allows users to open, view, and edit Gaussian Splat data stored in PLY files. Files can be loaded through drag-and-drop or the file menu, after which users can navigate and adjust the data using on-screen controls. The editor is designed to support modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, with WebGL 2.0 required for rendering and GPU acceleration recommended for handling large datasets.

The web-based nature of SuperSplat aligns with PlayCanvas’s focus on browser-native 3D production tools. The project remains open-source, and PlayCanvas continues to update it with new features and refinements. A community-driven development approach encourages users to share feedback and contribute to ongoing improvements.

For more information, visit PlayCanvas’s github page or view a live version at https://superspl.at/.
