Virtual Reality, coming to a desktop near you
Rochester, New York. April 2, 2001 – Interactive Imaging Systems, Inc. (IIS) today announced it is releasing its MAXimum3D software plug-in for 3ds max® and 3D Studio Viz®. MAXimum3D is a real-time rendering engine for 3ds max, which allows users to launch full screen and interactive views of their models. The plugin is targeted at the Game Developer, 3D Modeling, and the Education markets. The software, which comes bundled with the Company’s VFX3D Head Mounted Display, will allow max models to be viewed in stereoscopic 3D. Head Motion tracking built into the VFX3D, allows users to see where they look. The software will be sold directly through IIS and through select Autodesk® and Discreet® sales channels.
Interactive Imaging Systems develops and markets Personal Display Products that allow users to view and freely interact within computer generated environments and the Internet. IIS’s products, which include Virtual Reality Systems and Personal Internet Browsers, allow users to connect to and “Step Inside” the digital world.
