Substance 3D Designer version 13 released
Adobe has announced that version 13 of Substance 3D Designer has been released, introducing new features including a set of fresh nodes, the Substance Engine 9.0, and a portal node. However, this update discontinues support for Substance model graphs (you can read more about the decision here).
The new version presents two new collections of nodes, Spline tools and Path tools, for creating and adjusting intricate designs. The Spline tools offer nodes for generating, managing, modifying, and rendering splines, while the Path tools allow users to extract and modify contours from a mask.
Substance Engine v9, on which the new nodes are based, introduces loops for the first time and several other improvements. The Portal node enhances graph readability by hiding connections.
The 13.0.0 version also unveils a redesigned Home Screen and support for three additional languages: Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.
