I agree, TP used to be a good plugin and it still is IF they would focus on what TP was from the beginning, DESTRUCTION. Not everything else they add to it, right now it seems that they add stuff to it that maybe 5 people want and to add something new just to do another release of it.
Also get rid of smoke and fire, we have FumeFX and PhoenixFD for that, same with water, we have Bifrost and PhoenixFD, they work extremly good for that, if they want to keep it, do it good and mimic FumeFX and PhoenixFD. And stop implementing 2D stuff that no one use except from maybe 2 persons… Ridiculous.
Also, they for sure need a new presenter and more good tutorials, look at tyFlow and his userbase and tutorials, Internet is full of them, and TP is close to dead because lack of users and lack of tutorials you can learn from, not tutorials when a guy from cebas sits in an imported desk and chair and talks like everyone should know how the plugins works. Do normal tutorials with just talk and a complete video, from start to end where you build everything from the ground up, else people won´t learn from it at all.

what it means “make it good” tP has the best SPH solver implemented on any 3d application. For making small scale liquids is the best solution you can found.

I can agree that more and better tutorials is needed, but at the same time we must know that cebas is a rather small company with few employees, so I find it hard to see them do a full DVD tutorial, they have much to do with thinkingParticles, finalRender and now finalFluids.
And for cebas to add smoke, fire and water(liquid) is, at least to me, a natural way, it is after all a VFX plugin. Then I can agree to that they maybe add stuff that I personally don´t yell wow about, but I think that the most of the stuff they add is because of user requests, and if some people find it good enough and use it in production, so be it. Please don´t complain so much, TP is a great plugin and there is nothing like it. Sorry, but I bet that you are one of those guys that throw away a bunch of shitty and bad words about each new release of 3ds max as well.

Beautiful stuff – you must know that this kind of simulations were so far only the domain of Houdini and Maya-Bifröst video presentations (and in parts TyFlow). Now 3dsMax user can enjoy also high quality softbody and grain simulations. Cebas delivers something Autodesk could and did not – and we should be thankful for it, and not criticize it.
