UK government reveals tax relief for games industry

In today’s UK budget, chancellor George Osborne announced the introduction of tax breaks for the UK video game, animation, and high end television industries. Exact details for the tax credit scheme have yet to be revealed, though Dr Richard Wilson, CEO of TIGA, has indicated the measures could generate and safeguard 4,661 direct and indirect jobs and £188m of investment for the games sector.
