cheesus crust, lots of cg tech corporate acquisitions these days. I hope the futures isn’t darker.
Every time I read news like this I can only think of “Succession”. Now Unity own quite a powerful and high end PC toolset…
“…I can only think of “Succession”” – Hahaha, this one is good, thanks 😀
This tool would have fit way better into the Unreal-Workflow 😉
NO…as you can see, developers are tired to bake and believe in Unreal fake miracles… 😉
Unreal fake… Fake unreal .. 🤔
What Unreal fake miracles?
If you expect something easy to use as “click here and you have a full super mega human virtual production wth 10€” then yes, it’s normal that you feel they are “fake miracles”
But if you expect something ready for production, with cost conditions that are a benefit for both, the user and Epic, prepared for high quality apps/games or for virtual production, both with screens or with green screen, and you expect some quickly configurable characters, very high quality assets to be used inside unreal, and mix all of this with proper professional work and required knowledge about a complex engine as Unreal Engine is… there is nothin fake in it.
The matter about Ziva is a matter of money and interest, Epic probably don’t have interest in Ziva, they already have proper virtual human/virtual production technology that keeps evolving, and Unity is desperate to reach quality levels provided by unreal for virtual production, that’s why they purchased the weta tools.
Unity is the king in mobile, but for high quality AAA or Virtual Production is ages behind Unreal.
unreal fake miracles? Baked in?! As in their awesome nanites and lumen? you are a fool!
Unreal fake miracle
This!
